Karen Dionne, winner of Suspense Magazine’s Crimson Scribe Award, is the international bestselling author of The Marsh King’s Daughter, a dark suspense novel set in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula wilderness. This book has been named one of the best books of 2017 by iBooks, Hudson Booksellers, Powell Books, and the Library Journal, as well as many other booksellers and reviewers.  Alicia Vikander is set to star in the movie adaptation of The Marsh King’s Daughter scheduled to begin filming this summer.  Vikander stars in the Tomb Raider, released on March 16.

 Karen is cofounder of the online writers’ community Backspace, and organizes the Salt Cay Writers Retreat held every other year on a private island in the Bahamas. She is a member of the International Thriller Writers, where she served on the board of directors as Vice President, Technology.
